Dwa abakany pani Magdaleny z lat 70-tych.

UTRATA WIECZNA ZONA WSZETECZNA
Zarina, a Jewish Girl from Smyrna
Lot 58. Elisabeth Jerichau-Baumann. Zarina, a Jewish Girl from Smyrna (Zarina, jødisk pige fra Smyrna). Oil on canvas, 31 5/8 x 25 1/2 in. (80.3 x 64.8 cm). Estimate $2,000 – 4,000. Phillips. 06/02/26. Sold $17,000 ($21,930 with bp)
Wiele prac Elisabeth Baumann nie jest sygnowanych. Mają one jednak znakomite proweniencje i to w zupełności wystarcza.
Britannia
Lot 337. Elisabeth Jerichau Baumann: “Britannia“. Study. Unsigned. Oil on canvas. 58 x 45 cm. Estimate 40,000–50,000 DKK ($6,200–$7,800). Rasmussen. 06/16/26
Elisabeth Jerichau Baumann (b. Warsaw 1819, d. Copenhagen 1881) “Britannia”. Study. Unsigned. Oil on canvas. 58×45 cm. The present painting is a study for a painting entitled “Britannia / Britannia Rules the Waves”. A large (218×164 cm) version of the motif from 1873 can be found at the Kunsten Museum of Modern Art Aalborg (Inv. No. NK 119).
The motif “Britannia Rules the Waves” refers to the British national anthem, which Elisabeth Jerichau-Baumann also alluded to in the title when she exhibited the first version of the work at The Society of Female Artists in 1863. Britannia, the ruler of the sea, is rendered in a rich symbolic language that reveals the artist’s deep familiarity with British legends and mythology. Behind her hovers a dark bear-like figure, an allusion to King Arthur, often referred to as “the Bear of Britain” or “the Guardian Bear,” and regarded as an idealised image of the British monarch in both war and peace. At Britannia’s left foot, a black woman with a nursing child seeks protection, referring to Britain’s colonial expansion in Africa at the time, while a viking shield at her right foot points back to the viking age in Britain. The motif exists in at least two versions and was exhibited repeatedly, including in London and Manchester (1860), London (1862 and 1863), Dublin (1865), and at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin (1866 and 1879). Ader. 06/15/26. Sold €31,650 (bp)
Lot 559. HALICKA Alice (1895-1975): “La jetée en Bretagne“, HST, sbg. Dim. 73.5 x 92 cm. Estimate 5,000 – 8,000. Adjug’Art Brest. 06/10/26. Sold €8,800

A notice of inclusion in the catalog raisonné being prepared by Mr. Xavier Deryng under the aegis of the Société Historique et Littéraire Polonaise de Paris (SHLP), the artist’s universal legatee, will be given to the purchaser.
Marcel Reja (1873-1957), who was August Strindberg’s literary practitioner and one of the few defenders of Edvard Munch in France, particularly appreciated Earth, one of the great sculptures modeled by Biegas in 1902. In his contribution to the special issue of La Plume, he concluded his essay by underlining the importance of this work: “There is no opposition of two formulas, but a very coherent and powerful whole in this work La Terre, where inanimate matter, brutal, yet with a beautiful rhythm, blossoms into a living hair where the most supple and sobbing images of humanity and life are twisted, according to a hallucinating nightmare”. Boleslas Biegas. Sculpteur, Paris, Éditions de La Plume, 1902, p. 23. The reduction of La Terre occupies an exceptional place among Biegas’ sculptures. It is currently the only known example, possibly commissioned by Marcel Reja himself. Xavier Deryng
Warto powalczyć o ten zredukowany wymiarami odlew Ziemi Bolesława Biegasa. Znakomicie opsana i wytłumaczona została proweniencja tego brązu.
Lot 647. Alfred von Wierusz-Kowalski (Poland, 1849-1915). “Postboten in Polen” (Postman in Polen). Signed A. Wierusz-Kowalski. Executed in the 1880s. Oil on canvas 36 x 48 cm. The authenticity of this work has been confirmed by Eliza Ptaszyńska based on photographs. Provenance: Director Emil Malmsten (1875-1940) and Elna Malmsten (1880-1958). Thence by descent to the present owner. Estimate SEK 400,000 – 600,000 (€37,200 – 55,800). Bukowskis. 06/11/26. Sold SEK 1,000,000 (€90,870)
Lot 3184. Jerzy Kossak. Soldiers on Horseback, 1935, oil on panel; framed, 30 x 40 cm, signed and dated on the lower right: Jerzy Kossak / 1935 private p,roperty, Vienna, Estimate €3,000 – 6,000. Im Kinsky. 06/17/26. Sold €3,000
Portrait of a woman with a hat
Lot 71. Stanislaw ELESZKIEWICZ (1900-1963). Portrait of a woman with a hat. Oil on cardboard. Monogrammed lower right. Label on back: “given by Anne and Pierre Genetré (?) to Hélène Rambout”. 23 x 16 cm. Estimate €200 – 300. Ader. 06/15/26. Sold €2,241 (bp)
Ten portret kobiety Stanisława Eleszkiewicza był chyba mocno zainspirowaniy sztuką Renoira.
