Lot 78. Jean Lambert Rucki. Polish/French 1888-1967. La foule, conceived 1923-25, cast in 2000. Signed Lambert-Rucki on the base; stamped with the Fonderie de la Plaine foundry mark, inscribed JDV and numbered 6/8 on the side of the base. Bronze with black patina; 9 1/4 x 6 x 2 7/8 inches (23.5 x 15.2 x 7.3 cm). This lot is accompanied by a copy of a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist’s daughters, Mara Rucki and Léano Rucki. Estimate $10,000 – 15,000. Doyle. 05/20/26

Obecnie mamy znacznie pomniejszony odlew (23 cm wysokości) o czarnej patynie. Jestem przeciwnikiem pomnażania bytów ku chwale spadkobierców i domów aukcyjnych. Największy pożytek z tej i podobnej kopii będą miały zwłaszcza polskie domy aukcyjne bo tam głównie lądują te rzeźby. Natomiast kolekcjonerów może spotkać w przyszłości kolejna przykrość, tj. nowa seria odlewów z rynku francuskiego.

Signed Lambert-Rucki, stamped with the Fonderie de la Plaine foundry mark, inscribed JDV and numbered HC 1/3 on the side of the base. Bronze with black patina . 15 1/4 x 3 3/4 x 4 3/8 inches (38.7 x 9.5 x 11.1 cm). This lot is accompanied by a copy of a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist’s daughters, Mara Rucki and Léano Rucki.

Lot 878. Moïse Kisling(France, 1891-1953). Nature morte à la coupe de fruits (Still life with bowl of fruits). Signed Kisling. Countersigned and annoted “Paris” on the back. Executed circa 1917. Oil on canvas 73 x 54 cm. A certificate issued by Marc Ottavi, Paris, 2026 is included. This work will be included in the “Volume IV and Additions to Volumes I, II and III” of the Catalogue Raisonné of the Work of Moïse Kisling currently in preparation by Marc Ottavi. Provenance: The collection of businessman Joseph Gruss (1903-1993), New York, acquired directly from the artist. A Swedish Private Collection, presented as a gift from the above.
