Obraz Piotra Stachiewicza był prawdziwy, choć był sprzedawany w niemieckim domu aukcyjnym Owl, znanym z wprowadzania na rynek falsyfikatów polskiego malarstwa. Brak zainteresowania tłumaczę religinym charakterem tej pracy. Obecnie lepiej sprzedają się kreski i kropki na płótnie nie mające charakteru religijnego, nie mające żadnego charakteru, dla ludzi bez charakteru.

Nie wiadomo czemu ale to była nieudana aukcja prac Adama Marczukiewicza, którego bardzo cenię za sporą oryginalność noszącą cechy swojego nauczyciela Zbysława Marka Maciejewskiego oraz chyba Dudy-Gracza.

Tragiczny życiorys Stanisława Konarz-Konarzewskiego wystarczyłby na fabułę kilku filmów. Artysta był prześladowany za czasów II Rzeczpospolitej przez Sanację i zesłany do więzienia w Berezie Kartuskiej. Po wojnie był skazany na trzykrotną karę śmierci w sfingowanym procesie w Moskwie, wyroku nie wykonano lecz zesłano go więzień w ZSRR po czym został przeniesiony do więzienia na Mokotowie gdzie przebywał do odwiży. W tym czasie jego żona została skatowana i zamordowana przez UB a syn artysty został pobity przez tych samych na skutek czego później zmarł. Bardzo dobra akwarela Macieja Nehringa z pomylonym przez dom aukcyjny tytułem pracy. Podobną kompozycję tego artysty sprzedała Agra-Art w 2007 roku (poniżej). Twórczość Macieja Nehringa jest mocno niedoceniana przez kolekcjonerów. Był to znakomity akwarelista.

Podobno najbardziej poszukiwane przez kolekcjonerów twórczości Mariana Mokwy są jego przedwojenne prace. Jest to skutkiem zniszczenia jego dorobku w czasie wojny. Olej z Dusseldorfer Auktionhaus to chyba pokłosie wyprawy artysty na Bliski Wschód ok. 1915 roku. Tak wczesnej pracy Mariana Mokwy i w dodatku o tematyce nie marynistycznej to jeszcze nie widziałem. Cena 3,900 euro była dla mnie zrozumiała.

Na rynku dominują głównie ‘Przekupki lwowskie’ a przecież Ero Erb malaował pejzaże, martwe natury i chyba nawet portrety. Martwa natura w wykonaniu tego malarza to spory plus, dodatkowo obraz duży wymirmi jak na Erba. Upewnić się należało czy na pewno napis powyżej sygnatury został wykonany jego ręką. 3,300 euro to godna cena i niewysoka za ten obraz.
