Mojżesz Kisling był bardzo pracowitym malarzem. Sam mam jeden wielki i gruby tom z jego pracami a widzę, że dodatkowych kilka jest w opracowaniu. Nie ma tygodnia by nie pojawiały się jego oleje w najważniejszych domach aukcyjnych a także we francuskich głównie domach jak również w kilku innych krajach zachodnio-europejskich nie wspominając oczywiście o Polsce. Tematyka prac jest zróżnicowana a także ceny. Jednak, chyba najwyższe ceny na jego prace są…w Polsce. (No kidding!). Żeby kupić dobrą pracę Kisslinga to chyba trzeba dobrze poznać jego różne etapy twórczości. Ja zwracam uwagę jedynie na te wczesne lata, po I wojnie światowej, bo te prace z tego okresu wydają mi się bardzo spontaniczne i malowane bez upiększania i późniejszego wypracowanego manieryzmu z perfekcyjną linią. To są moje wrażenia osobiste i niejeden krytyk z krwi i kości gotów będzie skrzyżować ze mną szable, tak jak potrafił pojedynkować się sam Kisling. Przykładowo, portret przyszłej żony, namalowany w 1915 roku (poniżej) jest dla mnie niezwykle intygujący i spontaniczny a na kwiaty w wazonie (na samym dole wpisu) to pewnie znalazł od razu grubego gościa.

Moïse Kisling will evoke the first moments of his meeting with Renée: “It was there (in my studio) that one evening, which was like any other evening, a young girl entered. Her name was Miss Gros, she painted and was curious to visit my studio. I liked her at once strangely, with her hair of a violent blond, coiffed like a dog, her face with a pointed chin, a large nose, an irregular face, but animated by a questing look. »

Moïse Kisling painted this portrait of Renée in 1915, the year they met. The brushstroke is spontaneous; the palette of colours, both dark and vivid, mixing blue, green and bright red, gives an intensity, a particular strength to the portrait. The angular lines of Renée’s face are a gift that Kisling chooses to highlight, revealing an expressive and resolutely modern portrait in a three-quarter stance. Wracając do Polski i Kislinga to obserwuję duże nim zainteresowanie domów aukcyjnych a artifo.pl informuje o ponad 800 pracach tam sprzedanych. Zaglądam do tych polskich katalogów sporadycznie a jedynie pokazuję te prace, które zostały ostatnio ściągniete z zamiarem czystego zysku. Tak też się niedawno stało, gdy moim zdaniem słaby akt i w dodatku wyglądający na trochę niewykończony, został sprzedany niecałe pół roku temu w Sotheby’s, chyba za wyjściowe $30,000 ($40,320 z opłatami, ok 150,000 złotych) i już jest oferowany przez Sopocki Dom Aukcyjny za wyjściowe 190,000 złotych i wycenie (ho, ho, ho!) 250,000 – 350,000 złotych (8 maja, 2021, lot 11). To dopiero trzeba mieć sokole oko by taki skarb wygrzebać z aukcji w USA i zawieźć do Polski. W USA nikt sie nie poznał ale w Polsce specjalistów od wyceny jest wielu. Trochę lepszy półakt Didi Kislinga oferuje obecnie Aguttes (na samej górze tego wpisu) za połowe polskiej ceny (na zachodzie jest taniej!).

Wracając do obfitości prac, zwracają również uwagę liczne litografie, głównie wydane po śmierci malarza i sygnowane przez jego syna ze stemplem atelier artysty. Te sprzedawane są skromnie we Francji od 40 do 60 euro, natomiast w Polsce domy aukcyjne ‘zapominają’ zwykle dodawać, że te kopie wyprodukowane zostały przez syna a nie ojca. Wycena w Polsce to do kilku tysięcy złotych a to już pachnie diabelską siarką. Może wrócę do tematu tych litografii pośmiertnych jak tylko rynek odpocznie i zbiorę kilka przykładów. To wygląda bardzo podobnie do wspomnianego przeze mnaie dwa tygodnie temu ekscesu w Polsce ze sprzedażą serigrafii pośmiertnych Tamary Łempickiej (https://polishartcorner.com/2021/04/11/tamara-lempicka-1898-1980-akwatinta-z-ok-1932-roku-vs-serigrafia-po-1990-roku/) z wyceną prawie do $20,000. Pachnie siarką!

Szanowny Panie,

W kwestii grafik Mojżesza Kislinga nie do końca mogę się zgodzić z Pana ostatnim wpisem. Trudno także o porównania z pośmiertnymi odlewami pamiątkarkimi Mitoraja.  

–   Grafiki sygnowane “Atelier Kisling” zostały wydane ok 60 lat temu, w znanej powszechnie ilości, od lat są przedmiotem obrotu rynkowego i nikt ich już nie powiela 

–   Jak na grafiki mają duży walor dekoracyjny (odnoszę się tylko do większych rozmairarmi kopomozycji typu “Piękna Ewa” , “Martwa Natura z Rybami”, “Portret Chłopca” itp. 

– Ceny wywoławcze nie są przeważnie windowane: 500-800 złotych. Czasem mniej rozgarnięci nabywcy licytują te częściej powielane grafiki do kwot powyżej 4 tysięcy złotych. To już wyłącznie ich problem. Rzadsze grafiki sa oczywiście odpowiednio droższe. 

Nie wydaje mi się także by sporych rozmiarów grafiki typu “Bukiet Kwiatów”, “Piękna Ewa”, “Martwa natura z rybami” byly gdziekolwiek do nabycia za 40-60 euro. To jakieś odosobnione przypadki w rodzaju grafik Pankiewicza, które raz na pięć lat rzeczywiście można wyszukać w okazyjnej cenie.       

W przypadku Mitoraja mówimy o przepłacaniu na poziomie kilku-kilkunastu-kilkudziesięciu? tysięcy złotych. Te 200-300 złotych w kontekście Kislinga to doprawdy margines.

Szanowna Pani,

Pozwolę sobie nieco później na ustosunkowie precyzyjnie do tematu grafik, które wykonał Mojżesz Kissling a następnie powielał syn malarza. Potrzebuję trochę czasu by wgryźć się w ten temat a może pomogą też czytelnicy bardziej zorientowani. Dlatego w tej chwili kieruję kilka szybkich ad hoc uwag.

Jeśli grafili zostały wykonane 60 lat temu to jest ich dość dużo na rynku i wydaje mi sie, że powstały w sporych seriach, każda po 100 – 150 sztuk. To widać po opisie, gdzie czasami pojawiają się na nich różne litery (‘R’ czasami ‘W’) a czasami nakład jest opisany równiez cyframi rzymskimi a nie arabskimi. Przyznam, że nie rozumiem w tej chwili tych oznaczeń ale jest ich wiele.

Pełna moja zgoda odnośnie walorów dekoracyjnych grafik Mojżesza Kislinga.

Ostatnie cen estymacyjnych w polskich domach aukcyjnych to przykładowo: 4,000 – 7,000 złotych (Desa, Portret rudowłosej), 2,000 – 3,000 zł (Desa, Chlłopiec w niebieskim berecie), 2,200 – 2,500 zł (SDA, Pejzaż), etc., wszystkie na nadchodzących aukcjach. Ma Pani rację, że każdy może wydać swoje pieniądze w dowolny sposób, tj. ci mało rozgarnięci maja prawo przelicytować. Można licytować i niktomu prawo tego nie zabrania. Obecnie we Francji widzę aż trzy grafiki na aukcjach wycenione 40 – 60 euro w Millon, są też inne wycenione 100 – 150 euro w innych miejscach.

Najważniejsza dla mnie sprawa to ta, że grafiki te zostaly wykonane najprawdopodobniej już po śmierci Mojżesza Kislinga na zlecenie jego syna, Jeana Kislinga. Mają one wytłaczaną pieczęć ‘Atelier Kisling’, sygnaturę Jeana Kislinga a nie Mojżesza Kislinga a numeracja nakładu jest różna, co może sugerować wielokrotną produkcje kolejnych serii tej samej grafiki (może 60 lat temu?).

Dodam, że bardzo porządne domy aukcyjne we Francji dodają przed taką grafiką ‘D’après Moïse KISLING’ co oznacza, ze prace te wykonano ‘według’ a nie ‘przez’ Mojżesza Kislinga. To nie jest drobiazg, bo prace wykonane i zatwierdzone przez samego artystę byłyby cenione o niebo wyżej. Warto zauważyć, że polskie domy aukcyjne pomijają owe słowo ‘d’apres’ opisując je jako prace samego artysty. To d’apres może być oczywiście rozważane jako określenie semantyczne ale w tym właśnie leżą pieniądze; może zatem pominięcie ‘d’apres‘ prowadzi do walki o te prace tych ‘mało roztargniętych’…ku uciesze tych rozgarniętych. Myślę, że wrócę do tej sprawy ale potrzeba mi czasu by dotrzeć do źródeł.

Grafik Pankiewicza chyba nikt nie powielał po jego śmierci.

Dziękuję za odpowiedź. 

Miał Pan rację w kwestii cen grafik sygn. “Atelier Kisling”. Zajrzałam na kilka zachodnich stron, typu catawiki,  liveauctioners i  wspomniane grafiki rzeczywiście są do nabycia w cenach znacząco poniżej 100 euro. Sugerowałam się zawsze polskimi cenami oraz francuskim ebayem (gdzie ceny od lat oscylują na poziomie min. 250-300 euro, a teoretycznie powinno ich tam być najwięcej!). Podobnie jest zresztą z grafikami Norblina i Chodowieckiego, ceny zachodnie nijak się mają do realiów naszego rynku aukcyjnego. 

Proszę oczywiście zbadać temat gdyż  na aukcjach pojawia się coraz więcej, zwłaszcza mniejszych wymiarami litografii, w dość irytujących cenach wywoławczych. Zawyżanie cen pośmiertnych odbitek Chagalla czy serigraii S. Dalego to zresztą w Polsce tradycja.

BREAKING NEWS. Rozmawiałem przed chwilą z Ottavi’m. Mówi mi że czwarty tom ‘catalogue raisonné’ przewidziany jest na 2023 rok. Przy tej okazji zostaną wznowione trzy porzednie tomy, uzupełnione i poprawione.
Tymczasem załączam skan z “Dictionnaire de l’Estampe en France” z krótkim opisem graficznej działalności Kislinga. Tamże na końcu odsyła on do drugiego tomu ‘catalogue’ który “zawiera listę grafik oryginalnych oraz replik wydanych po śmierci Kislinga pod kontrolą swojego syna”.

The artist was a French painter of Polish heritage. He initially trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow before moving to Paris, where he lived at Montmartre since 1910. Czerwone maki Mojżesza Kislinga z proweniencją z Sotheby’s ale najwyraźniej bez rekomendacji syna malarza co jest obecnie wyraźnie tendencją. Miejsce sprzedaży dość niecodzienne bo to jest mały, choć  bardzo porządny internetowy dom aukcyjny założony przez znanego eksperta sztuki chińskiej i japońskiej. Za $40,000 + $10,000 (premium) = $50,000 możne da się kupić ten mały olej. Zainteresowania na razie nie widać – może chociaż jakiś polski dom aukcyjny… bez walki?

Wysyp prac Mojżesza Kislinga. Na samej górze pokazuję jego olej Mariane, oniryczny portret francuskiej dziewczyny, praca z pominiętej aukcji październikowej, jaki najbardziej cenię pośród tych nowych z nadchodzących aukcji. Warto zauważyć, że w przypadku prac Kislinga, podawane są często informacje o potwierdzeniu autentyczności, zazwyczaj przez syna artysty. Czyżby pojawiało się wiele udanych falsyfikatów prac tego malarza? A może to forma komercji? Drugi z portretów (poniżej), tej przechodzący ostatnio z rak do rąk, jest zimny w oglądaniu. Akt, jeszcze niżej, moim zdaniem chyba niepotrzebnie powstał. Pragnę zwrócić uwagę na umiarkowane ceny estymacyjne, w porównaniu do cen polskich, bo właśnie Desa-Unicum oraz Polswiss Art wystawiły kilka prac Kislinga na swoje aukcje, do miliona złotych. Namawiam do kupownia we Francji, jest dużo taniej, większy wybór, ciągła podaż, a poza tym proweniencja z Sotheby’s czy z Christie’s jest chyba lepsza. Nie rozumiem tych leniwych, tłustych polskich kotów.
