Kamocki studied from 1891-1900 at the Cracow Academy of Art under Jan Stanislawski, the founder of modern Polish landscape painting, and became one of his most important students; through two scholarships in Paris in 1901/02 and 1904/05 he also became acquainted with current international art trends. Kamocki, who belonged to the “Mloda Polska” (Young Poland) movement, preferred to paint outdoors and found the motifs for this on long journeys through Poland and neighbouring areas. From 1919 Kamocki headed the landscape painting class at the Krakow Academy, and in 1937 he became a professor. From 1899 on, he participated in numerous exhibitions, from 1906 also in the exhibitions of the Vienna Secession, of which he was a member from 1911 to 1918. Przyznam, że ani jednego obrazu Stanisława Kamockiego nie widziałem własnymi oczami. Biorąc pod uwagę jakie poloniki Schloss Ahlen sprzedaje, na dwoje babka tutaj wróżyła. Ja nie mam zdania. Każdy może napisać komentarz a ja wydrukuję najciekawsze.

Großformatiges, impressionistisches, mit weich-pastosem Duktus und in hellem, pastelltonigem Kolorit gemaltes Werk aus dem frühen Oeuvre des Künstlers, wohl von 1911. Kamocki studierte 1891-1900 an der Krakauer Kunstakademie bei Jan Stanislawski, dem Begründer der modernen polnischen Landschaftsmalerei und wurde einer seiner bedeutendsten Schüler; mittels zweier Stipendien lernte er 1901/02 und 1904/05 in Paris auch die aktuellen internationalen Kunstströmungen kennen. Kamocki, welcher der Bewegung “Mloda Polska” (Junges Polen) angehörte, malte bevorzugt im Freien und fand die Motive hierfür auf weiten Reisen durch Polen und angrenzende Gebiete. Ab 1919 leitete Kamocki die Landschaftsmalereiklasse an der Krakauer Akademie, 1937 wurde er Professor. Ab 1899 beschickte er zahlreiche Ausstellungen, seit 1906 auch die Ausstellungen der Wiener Secession, deren Mitglied er 1911-1918 war.
