Lot 2977. GEDLEK, Ludwig (1847 Cracow – 1904 Vienna). Pusztareiter. Oil / Wood. Signed lower left with addition Vienna. 31 x 53 cm. Framed: 44 x 64 cm. The carriages and riders in a fast gallop over the flat land near the village houses. Minimal signs of age. Genre painter, studied at the Academy of Vienna. Opening 900 euro. Wendl. 10/29/22

Jestem przekonany, że te dwa oleje nie wyszły spod pędzla Ludwika Gędłka. Gędłek, wg. mojej oceny, był słabym malarzem lecz nie aż tak słabym (w polskich domach aukcyjnych, patrząc na ceny, uchodzi za mistrza pędzla!). Praca mi wygląda na rosyjską robotę. Nie dałbym się nabrać. Można winić niemiecki dom aukcyjny Wendl ale tego nie robię bo chyba nie czynią tego rozmyślnie.
