Niewielki olej Tadeusza Rybkowskiego, który powróciwszy z Monachium zajął się sprawami lokalnymi i trochę porzucił monachijską tematykę. Osobiście bardziej cenię sobie jego wczesne prace powstałe w Wiedniu czy Monachium ale rozumiem tych, którzy wybierają tematykę lwowską – kwestia gustu. Oil on board, signed and dated lower right: Tadeusz Rybkowski 1902. Rybkowski was born in Poland, studied at the School of Fine Arts in Krakow and then at the Vienna Academy. In 1893 Rybkowski settled in Lviv, where he acted as an artist and teacher. He was a professor of decorative painting at the Polish State Industrial School and also opened a private painting school for women. Rybkowski’s domain was genre and realistic painting. In his works, scenes from the area of Pokucia often depicting returns from the city, small-town markets, sleigh rides, hunting. Stamped on the back.
