
Dość niezwykły portret kobiety w wykonaniu Tadeusza Styki. Autorstwo twarzy kobiety nie budzi wątpliwości natomiast z autorstwem rąk mam problemy. Obraz jest mocno uszkoszodzony z naprawioną długą krechą od buzi aż do dekoltu. Palce rąk są nienaturalnie długie i skrzywione. Portret Femme Fatalle? Wycena jest bardzo optymistycznie ustawiona. Rama bardzo dobrze dobrana.
Lot 355. Tadé (Tadeusz) Styka (Polish/French, 1889-1954). Portrait of a Lady. Signed “TADE.STYKA_” l.r., with a label from Cirker’s, New York, with inventory number “9457,” affixed to the stretcher, identified and partially titled “…Miss J. Mam…” on an unattributed label affixed to the stretcher. Oil on canvas mounted to Masonite, 44 x 30 in. (111.8 x 76.2 cm), framed. Condition: Two diagonal lines of repair/retouch measuring approximately 12 inches each across face and upper chest, prominent craquelure primarily around figure, scattered accretions. Retouch as previously noted plus additional glazes and strokes in both figure and back ground (see UV images). Craquelure is stable, but there are areas of alligatoring.
