Wracamy do twórczości Tadeusza Wąsa. Do czasu.

Tadeusz Was (1912 – 2005)

Tadeusz Was. Composition, 1964

Lot 358. Tadeusz Was (1912 – 2005) Polish. “Composition“, Oil on Canvas, Signed and Dated ’64, and Inscribed on a label verso, 43.5″ x 32.5” (110.5 x 82.5cm). Estimate £200 – £300. Parker Fine Art. 09/09/21

Tadeusz Was (1912 – 2005)

Tadeusz Was. TWO FIGURES

Lot 593. TADEUSZ WAS (POLISH 1912 – 2005), TWO FIGURES mixed media on board, signed 39cm x 33cm Framed. Estimate 300 – 500 GBP. Opening 180. GBP. McTear’s. 02/28/21

Tadeusz Was (w zasadzie Tadeusz Wąs) to kolejny uratowany cudem z Rosji bolszewickiej. Artysta o bogatym życiorysie i pasji artystycznej.

Tadeusz Was. Poet, 1971

Lot 109. Tadeusz Was. Poet. Signed, titled and dated 1971 on artist’s label verso, mixed media, 30.5cm x 16cm (12in x 6.25in). Wilson55 Auctioneers & Valuers. 02/11/21

Tadeusz Was (1912 – 2005)

Tadeusz Was. Composition, 1964

Lot 270. Tadeusz Was (1912-2005) Polish. Composition. Oil on Canvas. Signed and Dated 64, and Inscribed on a label on the reverse, 44 x 32.5. Estimate £200 – £300. John Nicholson. 03/25/20

Tadeusz Was (1912 – 2005)

Tadeusz Was. Allegory

Tadeusz Was z jego oryginalną techniką (soot cut) zdecydowanie należy do nich.

Lot 111. Tadeusz Was (Polish, 1912-2005), “Allegory“, signed and titled in ink in the margin, soot cut, image, size 24 x 18.5cm, 9.5 x 7.25in. Estimate £100 – £150. Peter Wilson. 02/20/20

Lot 538. Tadeusz Was (Polish, 1911-2005) – ‘Tears’ Pencil signed sootcut, titled and dated 1956 verso, approx 32x26cm, framed. NB: Story has it that the process of sootcut was discovered by Tadeusz Was who was stationed in the desert in World War II, he apparently held orange peel over a burning oil lamp and the resulting soot produced formed a perfect impression when in contact with paper.

Estimate 100-150 GBP. Wright Marshall. 02/11/17

Tadeusz Was (1912 – 2005)

Was-626

————————————————————-

Lot 626. Tadeusz Was (Polish, 1912-2005) – ‘Italy 1944’ (depicting three soldiers) Black ink on paper, signed and titled, approx 18x28cm, framed. NB: This will almost certainly be a scene of the battle of Monte Cassino of which Tadeusz was involved. Tadeusz not only fought in the Polish Army but also acted as war correspondent, he would be involved in the day to day battles and at the end put down his rifle and pick up his artistic instruments and aproduce work such as this.

Estimate: 100 GBP – 150 GBP
