A statement by Marie-France Charzat, President of the Comité Jean Lambert-Rucki, dated November 30, 2012, says: “According to family tradition, this sculpture was created from a shell from the First World War”. Dwa pośmiertne odlewy rzeźb Jeana Lambert-Ruckiego, niewidziane przeze mnie dotąd na rynku. Bardzo interesujące jest stwierdzenie, że Tkinker został wykonany z łuski pocisku z okresu I wojny światowej – być może oryginalna praca była z okresu międzywojennego bo skąd obecnie wziąć takie łuski? Niemniej pomysł ‘przekucia’ łuski na dzieło sztuki był bardzo oryginalny biorąc pod uwagę, że niemieccy barbarzyńcy w czasie II wojny światowej postepowali odwrotnie, zwłaszcza na terenach Polski, niszcząc pomniki i przetapiając je by wykorzystać uzyskany brąz na cele wojenne.

Przekrój twórczości Jeana Lamber-Ruckiego na kilku aukcjach. We francuskim Ader super gwasz o tematyce religijnej, w dodatku sprzedany za marne 500 euro. Portret kobiety potwierdza, że artysta znakomicie opanował podstawy rysunku. Jest też rzeźba Couple Avignon, która będzie, jak sądzę, przedmiotem późniejszego targu pomiędzy Warszawą a Sopotem, choć więcej możliwości daje Warszawa. Półtorametrowego Ptaka, połączenie gipsu z brązem, sprzedał kilka dni temu Sotheby’s. Kolekcjonerzy i handlarze mają w czym wybierać.

Pośmiertny odlew jednej z rzeźb Jeana Lambert-Ruckiego. Wykonano jedynie 8 odlewów a nie 6,000 jak w przypadku… mniejsza z tym. Podchodzę z ostrożnością do pośmiertnych odlewów zleconych przez rodzinę bo nie wiadomo jak rodzina zachowa się w przyszłości, gdy jej zabraknie gotówki.

Najwyższa oferta 6,800 euro była jednak niższa od ceny rezerwowej i rzeźba spadła. Na aukcji były również trzy bardzo pospolite rzeźby typu pamiątkarskiego Igora Mitoraja, wyprodukowane w olbrzymiej ilości. Jedną z nich, Centuriona II (1,500 sztuk wyłoczonych a nie odlanych) sprzedano za 2,650 euro.

Egzemplarz 2/8 został sprzedany w 2018 roku w amerykańskim Doyle za $7,500. Przypuszczam, że cała ta seria została wykonana po śmierci artysty.

He attended the Academy of Fine Arts in his hometown from an early age, where he rubbed shoulders with his compatriot Moses Kisling, under the Munich influence that prevailed in Krakow at the time. Like Kisling, his teacher was Józef Pankiewicz, who had been to France and had met the Impressionists Pierre Bonnard and Édouard Vuillard. Pankiewitz encouraged Kisling to go to Paris, and probably Rucki too.

In 1909, an exhibition of Picasso’s work was held in Munich. Rucki discovers Cubism and “Negro art”, and travels constantly to Eastern European cities: Vienna, Moscow, where he makes portraits to earn a living. He came into contact with this milieu, in which international art from Paris was very present, and where Cubism was disseminated. As early as 1910, a traveling Art Français exhibition showed Cubist works in St. Petersburg, Moscow and Kiev. Around 1909 or 1910, Rucki saw a Gauguin exhibition in Krakow. He decided to leave for France.

In February 1911, he moved to Paris and enrolled at the Académie Colarossi. There he met up again with his compatriot Moïse Kisling, who had arrived in France a year earlier. He shared a room with Modigliani on rue de la Grande Chaumière, and became very close to Soutine, who had arrived in Paris the same year. Soutine’s studio was located at La Ruche, where Marc Chagall, Blaise Cendrars, Gustave Miklos and, a little later, Fernand Léger were already living.

Odlew EA III/IV sprzedała Desa-Unicum w ubiegłyr roku za 60,000 złotych. Nikomu nie przeszkadza, że odlew ten jest pośmiertny, z 2006 roku. Porównując ceny, jak widać we Francji jest nadal taniej.
