Odnoszę wrażenie, że wszystkie poloniki z rynku zachodniego zostały już wessane na polski rynek. Jak inaczej wyjasnić te posuchę obecnie panującą na rynkach zachodnich? Do wyjątków należą obecnie te dwa dobre oleje Henryka Gotliba z UK. Co mnie jednak ‘wzięło’ w tym przypadku to wysokość opłat aukcyjnych. Strona brytyjska (te dwa różne domy aukcyjne) podaje 36% dodatkowych opłat na które zapewne składa się również kilka procent (5%?) za użycie internetowej platformy aukcyjnej. Jeśli dodamy opłatę droit de suite (4-5%) to całkowita opłata będzie wynosiła 40% co stanowi już pokaźną sumę. W ten sposób koszta zakupu każdej pracy wymykają się spod kontroli. Unikam kupowania w UK bo oprócz tych opłat dochodzi horrendalny koszt przesyłki z tego kraju.

Na tle opłat widzimy, że polskie domy aukcyjne są jeszcze ‘zacofane’ bo chyba obowiązuje tam 20% (plus oczywiście droit de suite). Myślę jednak, że próba doszlusowania z polskimi opłatami do zachodnich skończy się niepowodzeniem bo ceny polskiej sztuki w Polsce są wystarczająco wysokie a konsument ma skromny portfel. Dodatkowo, obecnie panuje spory zastój w polskich domach aukcyjnych. Po co go powiększać?

Sporo obrazów Henryka Gotliba pojawia się ostatnio na rynku. Ten przedstawiony wyżej ma doskonałą proweniencję i historię wystawienniczą. Prace Henryka Gotliba są tanie i nie mają na razie dobrego wzięcia w Polsce. Może dlatego warto wyłuskiwać co lepsze. Należy jednak zrozumieć i polubić ‘koślawość’ jego postaci. Jego czas kiedyś nadejdzie.

Henryk Gotlib made a significant contribution to British Art, and settled in Britain during World War II. The painter, draughtsman, writer and printmaker was inspired by European Expressionism, and merged both British and European inspiration through a revolutionary use of colour and form. Przekonany jestem, że prace Henryka Gotlieba nie są obiektami ostrej spekulacji w Polsce. Milionerzy nie są nimi zainteresowani, trudno oczekiwać by wartość podwajała się co roku. Dla większości polskich domów aukcyjnych są niemal bezwartościowe. Pozostają zatem na rynku osoby dość wrażliwe mogące powolnie skompletować najciekawsze z jego prac.  Te pojawiają się kilka razy do roku, głównie w UK. Tak teraz się stało. Proszę się nie przerażać, że ta praca była niedawno na aukcji i spadła. Teraz jest tańsza i to wszystko.

Cztery oleje Henryka Gotliba w UK. Trudno przywyknąć do takiej deformacji i takiego patrzenia na kobietę i może dlatego tak niełatwe malarstwo nie jest generalnie dobrze przyjęte na polskim rynku. Jest jednak w czym wybierać na rynku brytyjskim i można odleźć taką pracę jak najbardziej pasuje naszej estetyce.
