Mogę zrozumieć zainteresowanie tą pracą Henryka Stażewskiego z roku 1973 ze względu na proweniencję. Ktoś zobaczył rewelację z powodu zamalowania płyty dwoma kolorami oraz czarnych linii na białym tle. Nie bardzo natomiast rozumiem kogoś kto na aukcji we Włoszech zapłacił 1,500 euro za pracę powielanią przez Stażewskiego w 100 egzemplarzach. To był chyba zanik twórczej formy artysty by tak powtarzać i naklejać.

NOTE Painted in 1973, Relief nr. 14 comes directly from the collection of the master of Italian abstract art, Achille Perilli, who died two years ago. This work, which was given to him by Henryk Stażewski and which he kept for more than forty years, testifies to the friendship and mutual admiration between the two artists. It was during the exhibition devoted to Perilli in Warsaw in 1969 at the Foksal Gallery, founded three years earlier by a group of critics and artists including Stażewski, that they had met. From then on, Perilli would remain closely linked to the Polish avant-garde gathered at the Foksal Gallery and even initiated an exhibition at the Palazzo delle Esposizion in Rome in 1979, entitled “L’avanguardia polacca 1910-1978” which included several works by Stażewski. Bardzo nisko nakładowy odlew rzeźby Igora Mitoraja (6 egzemplarzy). Cena sprzedaży 68,000 euro czyli jedynie 10 x średniej ceny jego Perseusza wykonanego w oszałamiającym nakładzie 6,000 egzemplarzy. Czy jest w tym jakaś logika?

Odlew współczesny i w dodatku wygląda jakby został po cygańsku wykonany. Detalom brakuje ostrości. W sumie wcale się nie dziwię, że ten egzemplarz nie został sprzedany, choć chylę nisko czoła przed tym (przede wszystkim) rzeźbiarzem.

Ta akwaforta uznana jest za najlepszą Michała Płońskiego, dająca przekrój jego możliwości rytowniczych. Jej egzemplarze pojawiają się na aukcjach w Polsce, zaś tę z domu Bassenge kupiono za 650 euro.

Der polnische Zeichner, Radierer und Miniaturmaler Michal Plonski war in Warschau Schüler des Jean Pierre Norblin de la Gourdaine und bildete sich u.a. in Berlin, Kopenhagen und Amsterdam weiter. Ausgezeichneter, klarer Druck mit Rand, im von Le Blanc beschriebenen ersten Druckzustand mit den zusätzlichen Einfällen um die Darstellung. Geringfügig knittrig und knickfaltig, minimal fleckig und angeschmutzt, das Papier oben links etwas gedunkelt, entlang der Ränder mit geringen Bestoßungen sowie einem winzigen Risschen, zwei winzige geschlossene Löchlein im linken Rand, auf ein Untersatzpapier montiert, sonst sehr schön. Dokończenie aukcji w Lempertz. Tym razem wydawałaoby sie, że mniejszego kalibru prace będą licytowane. Jednak obok akwarel oraz palety malarskiej, skromnie sprzedanych, duże zainteresowanie wzbudził niesygnowany lecz z udokumentowaną proweniencją olej przedstawiający portret mężczyzny – czyli nieznanego mi pana Hamona (54,000 euro).
