Signed autograph letter addressed to his Parisian modern art dealer, Georges Chéron, illustrated with an original drawing in watercolor and pencil, representing a painter, himself, painting the view of a church, that of La Comelle in Saône-et-Loire, the place of his holidays: “[…] I work with a lot of ardor on rather large canvases and I make drawings taking advantage of my small models who come to pose. The school is transformed into a studio […] The good farmers come to visit us, because they are very curious and all want to see how the painter from Paris-Dimanche works […]”.
Polish painter and illustrator, Tadeusz Makowski settled in Paris in 1909 and was influenced by Cubism and Fauvism. Estimate 1,500 – 2,000 euro. Aguttes. 10/13/20
