Leszek Piasecki (1928 – 1990)
Sezon ogórkowy w pełni stąd wzięła mi się praca Piaseckiego. ‘Orka’ mało ciekawa z pierszoplanowymi trzema końmi i oraczem wyglądającym na niemieckiego Bauera. Poza tym, domek z czerwonym dachem, niebieskie niebo z białymi chmurkami i chyba sad po prawej stronie. Bardzo, bardzo niewybredny dekorator ściany może kupić tę pracę. Wycena wysoka ale nie podano wymiarów pracy i stąd myślę, że mogą to być hekatary płótna (złośliwy tutaj jestem!).

Julian Fałat (1853 – 1929)
Na podstawie zdjęcia wygląda na prawdziwą pracę ale czy wybitną? Kolekcjonerzy Fałata biją pokłony przed większością prac tego malarza. W tym przypadku radziłbym umiar bo jednak nie jest to praca zimowa (a zimowe prace, generalnie mówiąc, chyba są lepsze) a ponadto na tym jesiennym pejażu kolory trochę już wyblakły od światła. Słowem, wycena jest OK ale bez dalszej emocji.

Wojciech Kossak war einer der bedeutendsten Panorama-, Schlachten- und Porträtmaler des späten 19. und beginnenden 20. Jahrhunderts. Er war der Sohn des bekannten polnischen Malers Juliusz Kossak (1824–1899), der die polnische Pferdemalerei mitbegründet hatte. In dessen Tradition stehend, war er ein wichtiger Teil der polnischen Kunstwelt. Seit seinem 14. Lebensjahr beschäftigte er sich eingehend mit der Malerei. Er studierte in Krakau, München und Paris. Von 1895 bis 1902 lebte er in Berlin. Hier arbeitete er vorwiegend als Schlachtenmaler. Zu seinen Gönnern zählte Kaiser Wilhelm II., den er mehrfach portraitierte und von dem er zahlreiche Aufträge erhielt. Ab 1913 war Wojciech Kossak Professor der Kunstakademie in Warschau. Von 1914 bis 1918 nahm er als Kriegsmaler am 1. Weltkrieg teil. Von 1923 bis 1924 und 1928 bis 1932 lebte er in den Vereinigten Staaten. Nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg bildeten die verschiedenen Themen der polnischen Geschichte und Zeitgeschichte den Schwerpunkt seiner künstlerischen Arbeit.

Er spezialisierte sich schon früh auf die Darstellung militaristischer und historischer Szenen. Seine Gemälde erfreuten sich schon zu Lebzeiten des Künstlers großer Nachfrage und Beliebtheit.

On mat; total size: 53 x 42.5 cm Egg tempera and watercolour on paper. Poland, around 1990. Signed lower right ‘Lenica’. Paintings by Jan Lenica take up to 2000 € at international auction . This work of egg tempera on collaged paper was made by the Polish graphic artist and postage stamp designer Jan Lenica (1928-2001). The sheet is entitled ‘Die Maus und der Elephant’ and it carries an illustration to accompany the book of the same name by Matthias Hoppe. It was published 1990 with illustrations by Jan Lenica; bohem press, Zürich. The simplified drawing shows an elephant with a mouse in his arms, surrounded by geometric forms on a dark background. There is a pink rectangle on the elephant’s body.
The piece is signed lower right ‘Lenica’. There are handwritten markings on verso: ‘Die Maus und der Elefant’, also ‘Copertina’ [Title page]. The sheet is mounted on card (mat) and held in a simple wood frame which measures 53 x 42.5 cm. The work measures 35 x 26.5 cm. The piece ships with the book by Matthias Hoppe. The painting and book are in very good condition with only minimal signs of wear.
Jan Lenica (1928-2001)
The Polish graphic artist and postage stamp designer enjoys international renown for his poster art. He has been publishing satirical and humorous works in Polish newspapers since 1945. He took part in the documenta III in Kassel in 1964.

Jeśli byłaby to praca Pankiewicza a nie Hannytkiewicza (zdaje się, że nieźle znali się) to cmokania byłoby co niemiara nad tą martwa naturą. A tak, to pozostaje popatrzenie na dobrą pracę innego, o niebo mniej znanego malarza.
