Fair to good condition; a few vertical creases; scattered foxing, mostly visible verso; annotation upper right. Provenance: Estate of a prominent collector, Cuernavaca, Mexico, acquired directly from the artist. Lempicka, born Maria Górska in Warsaw, Poland, was an Art Deco painter and “the first woman artist to be a glamour star. Overall size: 10 5/8 x 7 1/4 in. (270 x 184 mm). Image size: 9 3/4 x 7 in. (248 x 178 mm). Estimate $6,000 – $8,000.

From the Artist to her daughter, Marie C. “Kizette” de Lempicka Foxhall, to private collector, Cuernavaca, Mexico. Our example is a preliminary study for the finished painting of the same name. Lempicka, born Maria Górska in Warsaw, Poland, was an Art Deco painter and “the first woman artist to be a glamour star. Overall size: 11 1/16 x 8 3/4 in. (281 x 222 mm). Dwie barwne akwatinty Tamary Łempickiej. Ta droższa i numerowana odbitka wykonana w ilości 200 sztuk. Drugą wykonano w ilość nieznanej . Różnica cen dramatyczna ale wycena uwzględnia również i inne czynnikitakie jak np. rok powstania, subiektywną wartość artystyczną. Dla mnie praca w stylu art deco jest nieskazitelnie piękna.
