Wrzesień był miesiącem w którym sporo prac Henryka Musiałowicza pojawiło się na rynku. Tym razem w Szwajcarii była seria wczesnych jego obrazów z lat 50-tych i początków 60-tch o umiarkownaych cenach.

Ten obrazek Romana Kochanowskiego pochodzi z dość późnego okresu i nie jest najlepszy. Neumeister sprzedał go po raz drugi, również bez wiekszego zainteresowania kupujących.

Ludwika Gędłka niezliczone ‘postoje’, ‘czaty’, ‘zasadzki’, etc. są z natury bardzo statyczne i chyba malarz nie potafił oddać ruchu konia. Dodatkowo, przedstawiani Kozacy to same smutne, wąsate chłopy, bez śladu uczucia. Obrazy Gędłka są z natury nudne i trudno mi inaczej wyjaśnić osiągalne ceny jak inflacją pieniędzy. Trudno zaleźć dobry obraz tego malarza i zawsze mamy to samo w różnych konstelacjach przyrody.

Lot 342. Ludwig Gedlek 1847 Krakau – 1904 Wien. Kosakenreiter bei der Rast. R. u. signiert und Ortsbezeichnung Wien. Rücks. betitelt “Vorposten” sowie diverse Nummerierungen. Öl auf Holz. 20,5 x 31 cm. Min. Randbereibungen. Rahmen min. besch. (41 x 51,5 cm). Der in Krakau geborene Ludwig Gedlek begann seine Studien an der dortigen Akademie der Bildenden Künste, bevor er 1873 nach Wien wechselte und dort sein Studium unter Eduard Peithner von Lichtenfels und Carl Wurzinger fortsetzte. Auch nach dem Studium verblieb Gedlek in Wien, hielt aber regen Kontakt in die polnische Heimat und blieb in seinen Gemälden dem polnischen Themenkreis stets treu. Genredarstellungen aus dem bäuerlichen Leben und Soldaten, in der Regel immer mit Pferden, prägen sein Werk. Estimate 4,000 – 6,000 euro. Neumeister. 09/25/24. Sold 4,000 euro

W marcu tego roku Neumeister sprzedał ten obraz za 38,000 euro (https://polishartcorner.com/2024/03/20/alfred-wierusz-kowalski-1849-1915-76/) a obecnie nieco wyżej.

. L. u. signiert. Öl auf Holz. 19,5 x 30 cm. Min. rest. Besch. Nach Studien an den Akademien in Warschau, Dresden und Prag schloss Alfred von Wierusz-Kowalski seine Ausbildung in München bei Alexander von Wagner und Josef von Brandt ab. 1876 liess er sich in München endgültig nieder. Themen seiner Gemälde blieben jedoch fast ausschließlich Motive seiner polnischen Heimat. Geprägt von seinem Lehrer Josef von Brandt ist es insbesondere die realistische Wiedergabe des Pferdes, die das Werk Wierusz-Kowalskis auszeichnet. Provenienz: Privatsammlung Karl Wormser, Nürnberg. Artur Markowicz. Praying Christians in the cathedral of Tarnow

Bardzo dobry pastel Artura Markowicza i to odbiegający od jego przeważającej, typowej, zadumanej tematyki żydowskiej. Obraz przedstawiający modlących się w katedrze tarnowskiej był wielokrotnie wystawiany o czym świadczy kilka nalepek wystawowych. Było też wówczas kilka prób chyba nieudanej sprzedaży tej pracy. Warto było obecnie kupić ten obraz.

Pastel, signed lower left, various old labels from exhibition participations with inscriptions in Polish on the back of the frame. Frame and glass glued. 65 x 50 cm. Slide-in frame 68 x 50 cm. The Polish genre painter and graphic artist of Jewish descent studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow from 1886 to 1895 under Leopold Löffler, Wladyslaw Luszczkiewicz, Florian Cynk and Jan Matejko. He then continued his studies at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich in the class of Otto Seitz. From 1900 to 1903, he lived in Paris and perfected his talent at the École des Beaux-Arts under the direction of Jean-Léon Gérôme. During this time, Markowicz was represented with works at the Salon des Artistes Français and the Salon d’Automne, among others. The focus of his work is the life of the Jewish ethnic group in small Polish towns. For the painting on offer, the painter chose a Christian place of worship – the cathedral in Tarnow near Krakow – as his motif. Jean Peske. Seated model

Wypada dobrze poznać twórczość Jeana Peske bo ilość jego prac na rynku zwłaszcza francuskim jest ogromna. Nie każda musi być ‘wybitna’, nie każda musi się dobrze sprzedać, zwłaszcza w Polsce bo tam jest bałagan i nawet w Desie Unicum potrafią pomylić Jeana Peske z Jeanem Pesce (https://polishartcorner.com/2023/08/17/jean-peske-1870-1949-czy-jean-pesce-1926-ciag-dalszy/). Pastel z Millon miał proweniencję oraz był niezły lecz daleko mu do rekordu.
