Large and ornate gilded frame. PROVENANCE: Purchased from John Weatherell Antiques, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England in 1984. MEASUREMENTS: 82″ x 53-1/2″. Overall with frame 100″ x 70″ x 5″. CONDITION: Toning and darkening to varnish consistent with age and display. Relined with areas of restoration. Minor losses, craquelure and lifting to paint surface. Stretcher marks to lower third. Appears unsigned. Repairs and losses to gilt frame.
