To dość niezwykła kolekcja rzeźb Igora Mitoraja na sukcji w Amero Auctions na Florydzie. Większość rzeźb, za wyjątkiem dwóch, to prace niskonakładowe, właściwie wykonane w kilku egzemplarzach. W późniejszym okresie, chyba francuski Artcurial zabrał się za masową produkcję niektórych spośród nich i te (w zasadzie bezwartościowe) nakłady sięgają kilku tysięcy egzemplarzu i są w ciągłej sprzedaży, również w Polsce. Rzeźby z obecnej aukcji są chyba pomiejszone w stosunku do wielkich orginałów lecz ich zaletą jest ten niski nakład oraz wymiar pozwalający na ekspozycję w domu. W grudniu 2021 ten dokładnie egzemplarz Torso Ferito (5/6) był wyceniony w Sotheby’s prawie 2x wyżej (https://polishartcorner.com/2021/12/14/igor-mitoraj-1944-2014-62/) i rzeźba nie została sprzedana. Obecnie pojawiła się druga okazja zakupu. Jak widać na tym przykładzie, nawet jednostkowe egzemplarze prac Mitoraja nie muszą być iron-proof. Na rynku jest obecnie kilka rzeźb Igora Mitoraja lecz wykonanych w kilku tysiącach egzemplarzy i tych bym unikał jak ognia, zwłaszcza, że te Perseusze są wysoko wycenione. Wygląda na to, że rynek rzeźb Mitoraja ulega powolnej samozagładzie skoro ceny jego niskonadładowych i dobrych prac nie wytrzymują ciśnienia wielonakładowego szmelcu na którego produkcję kiedyś sam artysta wyraził zgodę.

Na marginesie edycji innych rzeźb tego artysty, wykonanych w liczbie do 7,000 egzemplarzy (np. Preseusza) to daje się zauważyć znaczny spadek ich cen estymacyjnych we Francji być może spowodowany mniejszym zapotrzebowaniem handlarskim w Polsce (proste prawa ekonomii). Chyba coraz mniej jeleni jest w Polsce na tym tle. Czyżby efekt Polish Art Corner? Walczę obecnie również z bezwartościowymi plakatami prac Tamary Łempickiej (choć z wyceną 55,000 złotych w Desie), wykonanymi kilka lat temu, mającymi certyfikaty autentyczności WNUCZKI artystki. Czekam z utęskieniem na kolejne edycje w Desie z autografami prawnuczek artystki, które okazuje się już działają na tym polu!

Dwie rzeźby Igora Mitoraja, wykonane w akceptowanych ilościach 8 egzemplarzy pojawiły się w renomowanych domach aukcyjnych. Przewiduję, że Sonno Grande z Sotheby’s będzie miało wielkie zainteresowanie. Rzeźba z nowojorskiego Phillips uświetniłaby niejeden nowoczesny dom (mieszkanie) – jest stosunkowo nieduża i być może będzie łatwiej dostępna na kieszeń. To na rynku zagranicznym. A na polskim rynku domy aukcyjne nadal mamią kupujących różnymi wyrobami pamiątkarskimi Mitoraja, tj. breloczkami, medalami, Heliosami, Perseuszami, wydanymi w oszałamiających nakładach kilku tysięcy egzemplarzy – aż przykro patrzeć na ten rynek i wytykać.
