Chciałoby się zobaczyć nieznany dotąd pejzaż Aleksandar Małeckiego z powstańcami lub może pejzaż z widokiem na Wawel a tu widok leśny z krowami. Niemnej jego prace to rzadkość, budzące czasami spore emocje (przegrany proces sądowy Agry-Art z początku XXI wieku). Wielki polski pejzażysta, który zmarł w nędzy, z głodu.

Proszę porównać ten pejzaż Maleckiego z zimowym obrazem Fałata z tej samej aukcji (dwa wpisy wstecz). Obie prace zostały sprzedane za $16,000. Jeden obraz wymuskany, drugi namalowany byle jak (Fałat potafił lecz nie w tym przypadku). Inne style malowania ale to nie zwalnia autorów do wykazania szacunku w stosunku do kupującego. Vladislav Malecki began as a stage decorator for Antonio Sacchetti (1790-1870), an Italian set designer who had come to Poland in 1835. Then, from 1852 to 1856, he attended the School of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where he studied with Chrystian Breslauer. He received a scholarship and was able to study abroad; first at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, then at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich, where he studied with Eduard Schleich. It was then that he decided to devote himself to landscapes. After graduating in 1879 he traveled extensively; working throughout Bavaria, Tyrolia and the Alps. His paintings received little recognition in Poland, although he had won several medals at exhibitions in London and Vienna during the 1870s.

Condition: Previous restorations: Canvas has been relined, two repair patches on the verso with in-painting seen under UV light to those areas on canvas front, newer varnish layer. Minor losses to frame.

Wladyslaw Aleksander Malecki zählt zu den wichtigsten Mitbegründern der realistischen, polnischen Landschaftsmalerei. Er studierte von 1852 bis 1856 Malerei an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Warschau unter Christian Breslauer bevor er 1865 an der Kunstgewerbeschule in Wien und dann von 1867 bis 1868 bei Eduard Schleich an der Münchener Kunstakademie lernte. Zu Beginn von der Münchener Malerei beeinflusst, gewann später der französische Malstil nach Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot und der Schule von Barbizon mehr Bedeutung in Maleckis Werk
