Dwie figury osiowe Jana Lebensteina, jedna sprzed trzech tygodni a druga z dnia dziesiejszego, obie sprzedane w Sotheby’s. Od figur osiowych rozpoczęła się międzynarodowa kariera tego malarza. Mógł pokierować karierą w ten sposób by stać sie sławny i bogaty a pokierował w sposób by być wierny swoim zasadom i nie słuchać i wzbogacać marszandów. Jest to wielka postać polskieg współczenego malarstwa, tłumiona przez zazdrość żyjących wówczas w Polsce nauczycieli, kolegów po fachu i krytyków sztuki, nawet do tej pory. Malarz z najwyższej półki. Warto o nim jako malarzu i jako niezwykłym czlowieku poczytać. Prace jego nadal są tanie jak na rynek współczesnego polskiego malarstwa. Odkrywanie trwa nadal powoli.
