Romantic portrait oil painting on board by Leopold Loffler Radymno (1827-1898 Austria / Poland) Depicts a young boy taking a nap under a shade tree with his trusty dog. Loffler or Leoffler was a highly regarded member of the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts and frequently commissioned to create works for Franz Joseph I of Austria and the Emperor. His works can be found in the National Museum of Poland and in the Lviv National Art Gallery. Signed lower right and dated 1868. Board measures 7 1/2″ x 10″ Frame measures 12 1/4″ x 14 3/4″.
