Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino. BILDNIS EINES JUNGEN MANNES

Jeden z najbardziej poszukiwanych na świecie obrazów, ukradziony przez Niemców z polskich zbiorów w czasie II wojny światowej – jest gdzieś przechowywany w ukryciu.

Lot 1047. Raffaello Santi, 1483 Urbino – 1520 Rom, nach. BILDNIS EINES JUNGEN MANNES Öl auf Holz. , 80 x 63 x 1,3 cm. Ungerahmt. Das vorliegende Portrait bezieht sich auf das Raffael zugeschriebene ‘Bildnis eines jungen Mannes’ (sog. ‘Czartoryski-Portrait’), gemalt um 1510/11 (Öl auf Holz, 76,8 x 60,8 cm, Czartoryski Museum Krakau), das seit 1939 verschollen ist. Lange Zeit wurde das Gemälde für ein Selbstbildnis des Urbinaten gehalten.
