Dzisiejsza aukcja internetowa w Dorotheum wywołała większe zainteresowanie pracami Igora Mitoraja od aukcji wczorajszej. Licytowano dość wysoko Centuriona wykonanego w ilości 250 egzemplarzy; nie należy mylić tej pracy z późniejszym Centurionem II, wykonanym w ilości 1,500 egzemplarzy. Tak czy owak, sporo tych Centurionów krąży po świecie. Ostro też licytowano rzeźbę Moonlight Venzezia wykonaną w 150 egzemplarzach, natomiast przebijano wielokrotnie Torso di femina (jedyne 25 egz.). Warte zainteresowania Pannello pettorale, jeden z tylko ośmiu egzemplarzy nie znalazł nabywcy.

Dzień rzeźb Igora Mitoraja na dwóch kontynentach. Jednostkowa rzeźba Adriano w terrakocie została sprzedana natomiast ku zakoczeniu ani Dorotheum ani też dom aukcyjny w USA nie sprzedali brązów wykonanych w ilościach 6 i 8 egzemplarzy. Wydaje się, że windowanie cen ma swoje granice a w dodatku rynek jest opanowany przez tysiące egzempalrzy innych prac tego artysty, wykonanych w ilościach ponad 7,000 sztuk (medaliony Articulation), 6,000 sztuk Peseuszów, 5,000 sztuk Aklepsiosów, etc, etc,, etc. Rzeźby wykonane w ilości poniżej 250 ztuk (to również jest olbrzymia ilość!) są uważane przez niektórych za godne zwrócenia uwagi. Myślę, że francuski dom Artcurial, promotor tej masówki, wyświadczył w sumie bardzo złą przystugę artyście bo ta inflacja zamazuje obraz rynku niezwykłych prac wykonanych w kilku egzemplarzach wartych zainteresowania przez kolekcjonerów. Polski rynek obejmuje i oferuje te wszystkie tysiąckrotne masówki dekoracyjne z podwójnym przebicie cen francuskich mącąc w głowach nieuświadomionych drobnych krajowych ‘inwestorów’. Jutro będzie kilka kolejnych rzeźb Mitoraja wykonanych w ilościach kilku egzemplarzy.

Chyba uboczna działalność Igora Mitoraja z dzisiejszych dwóch aukcji: a) zawieszka na rzemyku wykonana w ilości jedynie 30 sztuk. Jej wycena była jednak bardzo wysoka, rzędu Peseusza, i obiekt nie został sprzedany, b) dwie złote obrączki, jedna chyba mająca rozmiar męski palca a druga dla kobiety. Te dwie obrączki cieszyły się sporym zainteresowaniem kupujących. Każda z nich została wykonana w jedym tylko niepowtarzalnym egzemplarzu i to stanowiło rarytas.

Przestałem rejestrować rzeźby Igora Mitoraja wynonane w ilości ponad 8 egzemplarzy. Zostawiam wyroby pamiątkarskie turystom. Ta rzeźba odlana została starym sposobem na wosk tracony i to jest podkreślone w katalogu. Jego Perseusze, Asklepsiosy i temu podobne prace wykonane w kilku tysiącach egzemparzy, cieszące się ogromnym powodzeniem polskich domów aukcyjnych, były tworzone uderzeniem sztancy w grubą blachę.

To dość niezwykła kolekcja rzeźb Igora Mitoraja na sukcji w Amero Auctions na Florydzie. Większość rzeźb, za wyjątkiem dwóch, to prace niskonakładowe, właściwie wykonane w kilku egzemplarzach. W późniejszym okresie, chyba francuski Artcurial zabrał się za masową produkcję niektórych spośród nich i te (w zasadzie bezwartościowe) nakłady sięgają kilku tysięcy egzemplarzu i są w ciągłej sprzedaży, również w Polsce. Rzeźby z obecnej aukcji są chyba pomiejszone w stosunku do wielkich orginałów lecz ich zaletą jest ten niski nakład oraz wymiar pozwalający na ekspozycję w domu. Prezentuję je wszytkie z aukcji oczekując zaskoczenia w przebiciach bardzo niskich cen estymacyjnych.
