Te struktury przestrzenne, wykonane przez absolwenta amerykańskiego MIT, wymagały niezwykłej precyzji w planowaniu i egzekucji. Nie przeszkadza mi fakt, że mogło ich być 30 sztuk lub więcej. Każda z nich wymagała osobnego traktowania przez artystę. Pokazaną poniżej pracę prezentowałem już kilka razy wcześniej i ta struktura metalowa była również zawieszona w plexiglasowwą konstrukcję https://polishartcorner.com/2021/12/03/piotr-kowalski-1927-2004-4/.

Piotr Kowalski. Pyramide

Bardzo ciekwa to postać Piotra Kowalskiego, profesora z MIT i twórcy bardzo zgeometryzowanych rzeźb. Matematycznie i fizycznie bardzo przemyślane są te jego prace, bez spontaniczności, lecz może dlatego lepiej dla mnie zrozumiane.

Dwie prace byłego absolwenta MIT z USA, jak też i architekta. Musiał być piekielnie zdolny i to dało mu swobodę działania bo żadnych Leninów w Poroninie nie musiał rzeźbić czy malować. Dodatkowo, miał szczęście, że przeżył Syberię i zdołał się stamtąd na czas wydostać.

Dwa tygodnie temu przedstawiłem siedem bardzo nowoczesnych rzeźb Piotra Kowalskiego z nadchodzącej aukcji, absolwenta MIT, artysty zupełnie nieznanego i (byc może) ignorowanegow Polsce (https://polishartcorner.com/2020/11/29/piotr-kowalski-1927-2004-2/). Do kompletu dodam teraz jego geometryczną litografię z 1971 roku.

Ani jedna praca tego artysty rzeźbiarza i architekta nie pojawiła się na aukcjach w Polsce. Z życiorysu wynika, że urodzony był we Lwowie i w jakiś sposób znalazł się w 1946 roku w Brazylii. Myślę, że była brutalna wywózka na Syberie przez bolszewików, uratowanie przez wojsko Andersa i tułaczka po świecie. Artysta skończył architekturę na amerykańskim MIT (tak MIT!) i nie musiał paprać się socrealizmem, malować Staliny, Leniny i hasła PZPR-owskie. Taka droga wiodła artystow na szczyty PRL-owskie.
