Signed and dated Elisabeth Jerichau Roma 1874. Oil on canvas. 74×61 cm. The young mother and child have a strong similarity in motif to a painting by the artist exhibited Charlottenborg 1874 no. 120 with the title “From Capri. Mother and Child”. That one bought by the National Museum in Stockholm 1880. NB! Corrected from “Presumably from Capri.
