Portrait of a younger woman with a slightly dreamy gaze wandering into the distance, pastel on cardboard, signed and dated in pencil lower right “Zo Atteslander 1914″, on the reverse label fragment … Chemnitz” and stamp “Leopold Hess Berlin…” on the reverse, slightly rubbed, unframed, dimensions approx. 59.5 x 69.5 cm. Artist information: also Zo Atteslander, Polish painter (1874 Luborzyca until around 1928), studied in Krakow under Jazek Malczewski, subsequently in Munich under Franz von Lenbach and Heinrich Knirr and from 1902 in Dachau under Adolf Hölzel, in 1904 she created a portrait of the Romanian royal family in Wiesbaden, was active in Paris.
