Niesygnowany rysunek Tamary Łempickiej z lat 30-tych, nawet ze znakomitą proweniencją, to jednak nie olej. Oczekiwania były wysokie lecz patrząc subietywnie to i tak został dobrze sprzedany.
Lot 363. LEMPICKA Tamara de (1898-1980). Study for Girl at Window. Unsigned graphite drawing on paper, from a small sketchbook. Circa 1932. Slight folds. H: 13 cm – L. : 10 cm. This work is a preparatory drawing by the artist for the painting La jeune fille à la fenêtre, exhibited at the Tuileries in 1933, which is totally different from the final version of the painting. Here, the window is on the left, and the girl, lowered, looks down. Her hair curls are treated more naturally here than in the final painting, unlike her hands and arms, whose positions here are not anatomically realistic. The dress worn by the girl also differs from the final version, notably in the collar. On the reverse of the drawing is a handwritten pencil inscription; an appointment: “Rambosson, 6 rue de l’Orient en … rue Lepic … 7 Monday morning 9-12, Conti”.
