Lot 115. BAKALOWICZ, STEFAN (1857-1947) Question and Answer, an Illustration for the Henryk Sienkiewicz Novel “”Quo Vadis”” , signed, inscribed “”Roma (jakic)”” and dated “”MDCCCXCVII”” (1897). Oil on panel, 36 by 27.5 cm. Another version of the present lot, with the same title and dated 1900, is in the collection of the State Russian Museum, St Petersburg.
