Kolejny pejzaż Mariana Kratochwila z okolic Toledo. Artysta wielokrotnie wracał do tych okolic tworząc obrazy z domunującą czerwienią. Malarz niestety znajduje się na marginesie zainteresowania polskich kolekcjonerów.

Kilka znanch mi obrazów Mariana Kratochwila z różnych miejsc w Hiszpanii, chyba jednego z jego ulubionych państw, malowanych było dominującą czerwienią. Obraz, z aukcji nie był sygnowany lecz jego autentyczność nie budziła zastrzeżeń. Ceny prac tego artysty są nadal bardzo niskie na zachodzie a popularnośc w Polsce jest kilka rzędów mniejsza np. od akwarel Setkowicza.

Po kampanii wrześniowej w 1939 roku przedostał sie do Anglii i tam dalej służył w polskim wojsku. Artysta chyba jest bardziej znany w UK i Hiszpanii niż w Polsce. Żadna z prac Mariana Kratochwila, żółnierza kampanii wrześniowej a potem emigranta w Wielkiej Brytanii nie została sprzedana. Artysta jest bardziej znany za granicą niż w Polsce. W 2022 roku była wystawa jego prac w Muzeum Niepodległości w Warszawie.
