Condition:

The work is overall in good condition. The varnish is slightly browned. The inspection under UV light reveals a few minor retouching in the area of the women and some repaints at the dog. The edges show some slight rubbing due to the frame.

Zygmund Ajdukiewicz (1861 – 1917)

Born in Witkowice (Poland) Ajdukiewicz first studied at the Academy of Arts in Vienna, then in Munich. Since 1885 he worked in Vienna as a painter of history and genre themes.
